Sotheby’s is throwing a super fun art party just for kids, all about the amazing art of Mark Rothko, a famous artist who loved playing with colors and shapes in cool ways.
Who this is for: Children aged 8 - 12
What you will gain: Kids will get to see how Rothko made his art special, using colors and shapes, especially rectangles, to tell a story without using pictures of real things. We’ll explore how he could make a whole adventure scene just by putting different colored shapes together, making them stand out and shine -- almost like magic! You'll dive into the world of art in a fun way, find your own creative voice, and have a blast doing it.
